Come and see the colourful work of Laurel Favel in our gallery for the month of June!

Laurel Favel is a mixed media oil artist, living on Salt Spring Island. Her technique is to build up layers of paint, often through a progression of inks, transparent and opaque acrylics, and finished with transparent and opaque oils. 

She finds joy in painting flowers and birds, combining realistic art which portrays recognizable aspects of nature, with abstract art which provides a background setting of patterns, colors, texture and lines without the need for an external representation.
